ALEXANDER WOMACK DlED WEDNESDAY:

Funeral Services to be Held Friday Afternoon at Ebenezer

Alexander Womack, 72 years old, a native of Missouri and for many years a resident of Callaway county; died at 10:15 o'clock Wednesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Dudley a half mile north of Calwood. He had been ill only a few days and death came unexpectedly.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:00 c'clock at Ebenezer Baptist Church, northeast of Fulton, by the pastor, the Rev. K. E. Magruder, and burial will be in Ebenezer cemetery.
Mr. Womack was born May 16, 1867. He farmed most of his life and for many years was a resident Of Callaway. A number of years ago he went to Arkansas to live and had been back in Callaway only a few months before his death.
Mrs. Womack died 10 years ago this month. Surviving are four daughters and five sons: Mrs. Lottie Bond of Oregon; Mrs. George Dudley, Calwood; Mrs. Barbara Gilman, Bachelor; Mrs. Ruby Shelton, Bachelor; Laymond Womack: Mexico; Emil Womack: Calwood; Raymond Womack and Jakie Womack, 'Raven Den, Ark., and Dan Womack, Big Flat, Ark.
He also leaves five sisters and one brother: Mrs. Bell Driscoll, Bachelor; Mrs. Dora Myers, Calwood; Mrs. Annie Novy, Concord; Mrs. Ollie Ferris,: Calwood; Fannie Womack, Calwood and Antoine Womack, Perry, Mo. He also leaves a half-brother, John Levi Womack of the state of Oregon.

*  ALICE R. WOMACK  nee BROWN,  Dec. 20, 1914 - Jan. 27, 2002

Services were today for Alice R. Womack, 87, formerly of the Lake of the Ozarks, who died Jan. 27, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, St. Louis. 
She was born Dec. 20, 1914, in Kansas City, a daughter of Bert F. and Rose Brown. She was married March 9, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, to William T. Womack, who died March 12, 1998. 
She graduated from Central High School and earned her undergraduate degree and a master's degree in education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. A homemaker, she lived in Independence and taught at Northeast Junior High School, Kansas City, until her retirement in 1976. 
A Methodist, she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W., the Daughters of the American Revolution and Order of the Eastern Star. 
Survivors include: one daughter, Camilla Dollins, Unionville; one son, Kent Womack, St. Louis; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 
Services were at Drennon Chapel, Climax Springs. Burial was in Climax Springs Cemetery. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

Obituary for Archer Preston Womack

Funeral service will be at 10 o'clock Friday morning in the Floyd W. Fox chapel for arch Preston Wommack, 69, who died in his home, 1521 West Lynn street, after a year's illness.

Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery, north of Willard.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary King, Mrs. Hallie Corbin, Mrs. Annie Daugherty and Mrs. Lena Hyden, all of Springfield; two sons, John and Charlie Wommack, Springfield; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Sparks, Greenfield; a brother, Albert Wommack, Springfield; a half-brother, Tim Bryant, and 18 grandchildren.


*  ARTIE MAE WOMACK nee Thurman,  Jan. 2, 1931 - Jan. 17, 1999

Artie Mae Womack, 84, of De Soto, died Sunday (Jan. 17, 1999).
Mrs. Womack was a homemaker. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in De Soto.
The funeral will be at noon today at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.
Among the survivors are two sons, Earl Louis Womack of Barnhart, and Donald James Womack of Festus; four sisters, Geraldine Hoffman, Lydia Cobb and Gertrude Rideout, all of St. Louis, and Evelyn Parker of Pevely; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN WOMACK,  Dec.4, 1920 - Jun. 15, 1999       African/ American

Benjamin Womack, 78, of St. Peters, died Thursday (June 3, 1999) at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters.
Mr. Womack was a driver for 54 years for Laclede Cab Co. in St. Louis.
The funeral service will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles. The body will be cremated.
Among survivors are three daughters, Phyllis Turner of St. Peters, Hiawatha Womack-Gaston of Detroit and Holly Holland of St. Louis; two sons, Carlton Womack of Mesquite, Texas, and Jarrett Stewart of Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

Carl Junction, MO --- Betty Jo Womack, 66, 501 Eagle Circle, died at 5:30 pm Tuesday at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, after an illness.  Ms. Womack was born October 5, 1928 at Southwest City.  She moved to Carl Junction 2 1/2 years ago from Claremore, Okla.  She formerly lived at Wichita, Kan.  She was a traffic office clerk for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. retiring in December, 1983 after 33 years of employment. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Carl Junction. Survivors include her father, Arthur Womack, Miami, Okla; and two sisters, Neldena Lowry, Miami, and Mildred Harrell, Tulsa, Okla. Services will be at 10:30 am Friday, at Northwest Baptist Church, Miami.  The Rev. Dale Rogers will officiate.  Burial will be in GAR Cemetery, Miami. Pallbearers will be Rick Lowry, Jim Lowry, Wes Lockhart, Alan Benefiel, Harry Cobble, and John Miller.  The family will be at the home of Neldena Lowry, 225 10th Avenue NE, Miami. Arrangements are under direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.

TOLEDO- Charlie James Womack, 70, of Toledo, passed away, Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A Memorial Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 from 4-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Charlie was born on April 21, 1940, in Wakenda, MO, the son on Orville and Mellisa (Cowick) Womack. On June 11, 1982, he was united in marriage to Judie Craun in Marshall, MO He was a truck driver for Ted McGrew out of Carrolton, MO. Charlie’s hobbies included woodworking, fixing computers and gardening. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandson. Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers, Don and Junior Womack. Survivors include his wife, Judie of Toledo; his daughter, Jamie (Jeremiah) Mussman of Toledo; one grandson, Noah Mussman; two other daughters and a son; one brother, Willie Womack of Carrolton, MO; several nieces and nephews; his father and mother-in-law, Alvin and Arlene Craun of Toledo; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Daniel Womack, 29, Dies Friday Night Funeral services to be held Sunday at Ebenezer Church

Daniel Womack, 29, of Bachelor, died at 10:20 O'Clock Friday night at the Callway Hospital. A local ambulance and Coroner W. Pearl Garrett were called to Womack's home at Bachelor Friday afternoon, and they quoted Womack's wife as saying he had suffered a self-inflicted wound. He was brought to the hospital for treatment but died that night.

    Womack was born December 4, 1922, in Callaway County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Womack. He was a veteran of World War II.

     Besides his wife, he is survived by three step-children, Jerry, Colbert, and Lance Guthrie of the home, and the following sisters and brothers:

Laymond, Raymond and Jacob of Callaway COunty; Emil womack of Carraway,Ark, and Mrs Lottie Sillars, Mrs. Celeste Dudley, Mrs Barbara Prouty, and Mrs. Ruby Shelton, all of Callaway County.

Funeral services will be held at 2 O'Clock Sunday afternoon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, and interment will be in the church cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. George Newkirk of Columbia.


*  DANIEL EMMIT WOMACK,   Sep. 20, 1847 – Jan. 17, 1927

Daniel Emmit Womack, 79, of rural Fulton, Missouri, died January 17, 1927 at his home.

Dr. R.S. Simcoe, of Calwood, Missouri, pronounced death caused by Influenza. Informant was James Womack of rural Fulton.

Daniel was born September 20, 1847, in Virginia, the son of Allen and Sarah Bates (Nolin) Womack. He was single and a farmer.

Arrangemets were under the direction of Ed Herndon, of Fulton, and burial was in the Womack Cemetery.


*  DELBERT E. WOMACK,    Jan. 12, 1926 – Feb. 2, 2007 

Delbert E. Womack, 81, Pacific, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2007.

Mr. Womack was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Piedmont, the son of Emmett Womack and wife Virginia, nee Hale.

He was a World War II veteran and was involved in the liberation of France and Germany, including the concentration camp at Dachau.

Mr. Womack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce A. Womack, nee Hackworth; one brother, Emmett Womack; and two sisters, Lucille Wampler and Beatrice McDowell.

He is survived by three sons, Wayne E. Womack and wife Brinda, St. Clair, Jimmy Lee Womack, Pacific, and Emmett Byron "Barney" Womack and wife Peg, Ballwin; one daughter, Kay Roberts and husband Charles, Catawissa; two sisters, Maxine Biesemeyer and husband Eugene and Lois Womack, all of Piedmont; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 5, at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, with the Rev. Greg Bond officiating.

 

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Pacific.

*  EARL LOUIS WOMACK,  Oct. 18, 1932 - Mar. 25, 1999
 
Earl L. Womack, 66, of Barnhart, died Thursday (March 25, 1999) at home.
Mr. Womack was an auto assembler for General Motors.
The funeral was Saturday at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
Among the survivors are four daughters, Eleanor Draper of Columbia, Mo., Barb Landholt of De Soto, Mo., Cynthia Lechner of Hillsboro, and Jennifer Womack of Pevely; a son, Ray Womack of Festus; a brother, Donald James Womack of Festus; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

*   EDWARD NATHAN WOMACK,   Apr. 1, 1866 – Feb. 18, 1939

Edward Nathan Womack,  for many years a resident of Womack, Mo., passed from this life at his home on February 18, 1939,  at the age 72 years 8 months and 17 days.  He was born near Silver Lake, Perry County, Mo., and was the sixth son of Robert M. and Louisa Hawthorne Womack.
He was united in marriage to Millie Johnson, also of Womack, on June 11, 1905, who with their three children survive.  The children are Lillian Margaret (Mrs. Joe) Burgette and Leo Emanuel, both of St. Louis, and Lila Maude  (Mrs. Troy A.) Allen of  Womack. He is also survived by two brothers, J. Albert Womack, of St. Louis, and Leon W. Womack, of Flat River. He was preceded in death by his parents and the following named sisters and brothers; Mollie (Mrs. J. B.) Murray, Nancy Katherine (Mrs. James) Moore, Wm. F., Geo. W., Levi J., John A., Ulysses and Thomas Womack. The two latter dying in infancy. He is also survived by three small granddaughters, Marjory and Doris Allen and Mary Jean Burgette.
While he never united with any church, he lived a true consecrated life and was indeed a good man, a devoted son, brother, husband, and father.
Services were held at the Womack Church Sunday afternoon by Rev. Hand, of Fredericktown, assisted by Rev. Slavinsky, of Womack. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Ermel C. Womack, 74, son of Evy and Lottie Hopkins Womack, was born Jan. 29, 1926, at West Plains. He died Oct. 9, 2000.
He married Joan Powell Sept. 29, 1944, and was baptized Sept. 17, 1950.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Waymon, Hervel and Haskell.
Mr. Womack loved singing, salesmanship and doing special things for his friends.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Donald of Houston, Lonnie of Shelton, Wash., and Keith of Willow Springs; one brother, Jerry of West Plains; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Services are 2 o'clock today (Thursday) at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Miller and the Rev. Jim Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eunice Baptist Church or Hospice of Care.


*   EVELYN JOSEPHINE WOMACK nee PROPST,   Feb. 3, 1929 – Aug. 10, 2012

Evelyn Josephine Womack, formerly of Ironton passed away August 10, 2012 in St. Louis, MO at the age of 84 years. Evelyn was born February 3, 1929 a daughter of the late Thomas Aaron and Iva Belle (Propst) Hill.

In 2006, Evelyn was united in marriage to Carl Robert Womack who survives. Also surviving are three children; Dixie Troyer of Patton, MO, Judy Brooks of Blackwell, VA, and Michael Manley of Belleview, MO, a sister; Martha Tibbs of Pilot Knob, MO, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by seven brothers; Edward, Tommy, George, Everett. Fred, Francis, and Elmer Hill, and five sisters; Wilma Vance, Edna Wren, Della Hill, Stella Mickan, and Myrtle Stout.

Florence G. Hanline, 90, Kearney, MO, passed away Friday, May 31, 1996, at the Valley Manor Rehabilitation Center, Excelsior Springs, MO. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. There is no scheduled family visitation, but friends may call Monday afternoon at the Fry Funeral Home, Kearney, MO.
Florence was born January 26, 1906, the daughter of Ira and Lula (Bedell) Womack. On October 31, 1927, she was married to Walter Hanline; he preceded her in death in 1977. Florence is survived by one son, Jack Hanline, Kearney, MO; one daughter, Florence Barbara Cockrell, St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.


*   GENITA FAYE INMAN nee WOMACK,   Nov. 30, 1943 – Oct. 27, 2011

Mrs. Genita Faye Inman, age 67 of St. Peters, Missouri, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Barnes Jewish St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters. Mrs. Inman was born November 30, 1943 in Chatham, Louisiana to the late Robert Keith Womack and the late Edna Ora, nee Smith, Womack. She was a school district director.

Friends may visit with the family 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm Sunday, November 30, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at the church with Reverend Sherwood Smith and Reverend Donnie Smith officiating. Interment will be at Chatham Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Inman is survived by a son, James Robert Inman and wife Ine of Shiloh, Illinois; three daughters, Lisa C. Martin of Jonesburg, Missouri., Susan Inman Schiefelbein and husband Paul of St. Charles, Missouri. and Shannon Noah and husband Randy of Old Monroe, Missouri; sister, Barbara Womack of Ruston, Louisiana; brother, Richard K. Womack of Houston, Texas.; niece, Dawn Stott of Olla, Louisiana.; two great nieces, Heather and Devann; ten grandchildren, John, Robert, Phillip, Joshua, Benjamin, Matt, Lauren, Brooke, Ryan and Dylan; a host of other relatives and many friends.

Jan. 2, 1907 - Aug. 29, 1999 Herbert Efton Womack, 92, a retired civil engineer, died at a Ft. Worth hospital Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999 Mr. Womack, the eldest son of Bert and Maggie Womack, was born Jan. 2, 1907, near Southwest City. He attended school through his junior year at Liberty, a rural McDonald County school, graduating from Southwest City School. He attended college at the University of Missouri at Columbia where he received his degree in civil engineering. He was employed by the Rock Island Railroad and moved to Ft. Worth, Texas, in 1939, where he was district manager until his retirement. He oversaw and planned much of the industrial district of Dallas, was involved in the design of the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport as well as many railroads and bridges through Texas. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Ft. Worth where he served on the church board. He was also a member of the Cooks Peavy Lodge, Grand Lodge of Texas, Knights Templer and Mosiah Temple and had received his 32nd degree in Scottish Rite. He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Bonnie Bruner Womack, whom he married in 1932. He is also survived by two sons, Bill and his wife Loraine, and Bob, all of Watauga, Texas; two daughters, Carolyn Lima and her husband John of San Diego, and Juanita Reasoner of Homita, Calif.; a brother, Levi Womack and his wife Betty of Southwest City, a sister Velma Lett and her husband Harry of Southwest City, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great granchild. Services were held Thursday, Sept, 2, 1999 at Greenwood Champel in Ft. Worth with burial at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas. Attending the funeral of Herbert Womack in Ft. Worth were Levi and Betty Womack and Don and Betty Boyette of Grove, Harry and Velma Lett and daughters Pat of Southwest City and Linda and Shirley of Joplin, Mo.

WOMACK Rev. James Weston "Jim", born May 8, 1931, Mt. Carmel IL., died Nov. 5, 1986, Kirksville MO. He had attended Bethany Nazarene College 1964-69. Appointed minister of Mustang Church of the Nazarene. Served as minister of the First Church of the Nazarene of Edmond until 1984. Survivors are his wife, Ann; daughters, Mrs. Tom (Pam) Holladay of Little Rock AR., Mrs. Jim (Carolyn)
Kent of Kirksville MO.; sons, Greg of Edmond, Ken of Kirksville MO.; his mother, Mary Womack of OKC; sisters, Ruth Brown and Mary Null, both of OKC; brothers, Bob, Texarkana, Dean, Springfield MO., Richard, Edmond, Wayne, Joplin MO., John, Mustang, David, OKC, Paul, Quincy IL.; 2 granddaughters. *  JASPER MARION WOMACK,    May 13, 1867 – Jul. 8, 1957

Jasper Marion Womack, was born to Abner and Polly Ann Womack; May 13, 1867 and departed this life on 7-8-1957, at the age of 90 years, one month,and 25 days. He was united in marriage to Ella Alma House on July 31, 1898, and to this union was born 10 children, 3 of whom preceded him in death, 2 sons, Luther and Ciccro and one daughter, Hazel. He leaves to morn his passing, his wife, Mrs. Ella Womack, 5 sons, Tom, Raymond, and Cecil of Van Buren, Willard of St. Louis, and Ralph of Sullivan. Two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Townsend of Van Buren and Mrs. Nellie Carpenter of St. Louis. Also two sons by previous marriage, Ed of Leadington and Emmett of St. Louis, 48 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were held at the Assembly of God Church on July 10, 1957, with interment in the Van Buren Cemetery. McSpadden Funeral Home was in charge of the services.


*  JEFFERY GLENN WOMACK,    Dec. 24, 1952 – Jul. 31, 2006   

CHAFFEE - Jeffery Glenn Womack, 53, died July 31, 2006, at his home.

Born Dec. 24, 1952, in Sikeston, son of Tom Ford and Elizabeth McKibben Womack of Lilbourn, he had lived in various cities in Missouri, serving with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, from which he retired in 2003 after 25 years of service. Two years ago, he and his wife moved to Chaffee, where he was currently serving as Chief of Police. He also had served two years on the Jackson Police Department and four years in the United States Air Force.

On Dec. 30, 1973, in Parma, he married Marva Morgan, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Jeffery Adam Womack of Goldsbrough, N.C.; two daughters, Dottie Franklin of Perryville and Christina Griffin of Columbia, S.C.; and two brothers, Thomas Hale Womack of Sisters, Ore. and Kenneth Wayne Womack of Carlisle, Penn.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Missouri County Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield Dr. Bill Reed of Lilbourn and the Rev. Robert Blakely, chaplain of the Chaffee Police Department, will officiate.

Burial with full military rites will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

*  JENNIFER LOU WOMACK nee DAVIS,   Jan. 25, 1947 - Jun. 25, 2004

IMPERIAL, Mo. -- Jennifer Lou Womack, 57, of Imperial died Friday, June 25, at her son's home in Jonesboro.

Born in Walnut Ridge, she moved to Imperial in 1980. She was a retired certified nurse's aide and was a member of the Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer Womack of the home; three sons, Jeffrey Howard of Jonesboro, Matthew Womack of Walnut Ridge and Billy Howard of Festus, Mo.; two daughters, Angie Roberts of Black Rock and Emily Womack of Imperial; her mother, Virginia Louise Davis of Biloxi, Miss.; a brother, Michael Ray Davis of Pocahontas; two sisters, Marsha Barton of Biloxi and Karen Davis of Gulfport, Miss.; and eight grandchildren, Elias Howard, Evan Howard, Jared Howard, Bailee Howard, Grace Roberts, Ty Roberts, Brandy Womack and Taylor Womack.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jefferson Eugene Davis.
Memorial services will be private and there will be no visitation.

Jesse Raymond Womack SR. 63 of Fulton Mo. passed away at Boone Hospital Center on Saturday July 23, 2011. He was born July 22, 1948 in Fulton, Mo. the son Of Raymond "Doc" and Elsie (Prouty) Womack. He was united in marriage to Annette (Merriman) Womack who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and mother, Elsie Burrow of Fulton Mo. he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Michael and wife Amanda Heck Merriman of Mexico, four daughters, Robin and husband Dan Smith of Everette Washington, Lisha and husband Wayne Galbreath of Fulton Mo. LaRae Womack of Fulton Mo. and Patsy and Richard Curtis Hunziker of Fulton Mo. fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild. three brothers, Clyde Womack of Holts Summit, David Womack of Calwood, and Donnie Womack of Fulton Mo. and four sisters, Betty Vaughn of Calwood, Dorothy Wells of Fulton, Ruby Ellis of Calwood and Evelyn Cavins of Jefferson City. His father , one son Jesse Raymond Womack Jr. and one daughter, Laura Lea Womack preceded him in death.

Jesse worked as a truck driver for Hunt's Concrete Company. He was a member of the Handyman Club. He loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, blue grass gospel and hisa family.

Celebration of Life Services will be from noon to 10;00 p.m. on Saturday July 30, 2011 at VFW pOST 2657B in Fulton Mo. The family requests no flowers.

Jesse Raymond Womack Jr. 28 of Fulton, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1999. He was born Jan. 12, 1971 in Fulton to Wanda Atterberry Womack of Fulton and Jesse Raymond Womack Sr. of Auxvasse. He married Catina "Tina" Willingham in 1992. Other survivors include two sons, Daniel Ray Womack and Tanner J. Womack, both of Mexico, MO. Three sisters Lisha Galbreath, Robin Gordon and LaRae Womack, all of Fulton, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and his maternal grandparents. He was employed as a concrete finisher with Canyon Construction. He enjoyed drawing and painting, and was an avid fisherman. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Ted Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Atterberry-Benskin Cemetery.

Services for Jessie Oscar Womack,  85, of Festus, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, in a chapel of Mahn Funeral Home with the Rev. Marlin Starnes officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn.  Mr. Womack died Aug. 28, 1978, at Perry County Hospital, Perryville, after an illness of about three months.  He was born Oct. 30, 1892, in Iron County and had been a resident of Jefferson County about 50 years. He was a farm worker. His wife the former Annie Schults, died in 1915. Surviving are a son, Earl Womack, De Soto; sister, Mrs. Daniel (Matylee) Wigemann,  De Soto; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Womack was born in Franklin, North Carolina, and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1947. He and his wife have owned the Berliner Bear Restaurant for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Lions Club, St. Andrew's Catholic Church, an army veteran of WWII, and he was an avid supporter of the Ararat Shrine Circus. He is survived by his wife, Nettie, of the home; two sons, Joel C. Womack, Liberty, MO, and William E. Womack, Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Gloria Jean Burggraf, and Linda Diane Sharp, both of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, four brothers, and eight grandchildren.

FUNERAL OF JOSEPH WOMACK Last Rites over Body of Aged Pioneer of This District Funeral services over the remains of Joseph Womack, who died at the home of his son, Reno Womack, 221 South Hall Street Sunday at 3 o'clock were held yesterday at the residence. Burial was made at the Webb City cemetery. Mr Womack was 89 years old. He had been a resident of Jasper county for more than forty years. His death was due to an attack of heart trouble, which his advanced age made it impossible for him to withstand. Until a month ago he lived at Prosperity. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Mary Williams, Mrs. Lou Carricks, Gilbert Womack and Reno Womack. He has several grandchildren.

*   LAWRENCE LEON WOMACK,   Oct. 27, 1886 – Oct. 19, 1975

Chapel services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1975 at the Wilson Funeral Home for Mr. Lawrence Leon Womack.

L.L. Womack, a retired hotel owner and bus agent, died on Oct. 19 at Farmington Community Hospital. He was born on Oct. 27, 1886 in Ste. Genevieve County, Mo. He was 88.

Mr. Womack was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Martha Womack and his wife, the former Alice M. Hill; and a son, L.L. Womack, Jr.

Prior to his death, Mr. Womack was living on Route 5, Farmington.

Surviving children include: Lelia Treguboff, Phoenix, Ariz.; Verna Flentge, Tucson, Ariz.; and Dorothy D. Martin, Farmington. A sister, Luella Kemp, Mine La Motte, survives along with two brothers, Nick E. Womack, Fredericktown and Hayden R. Womack, Silver Lake. Seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.

The late Mr. and Mrs. Womack were married on Sept. 2, 1908 in Fredericktown. He was a member of the Christian Church and Modern Woodman.

Burial was in Christian Cemetery, with the Rev Paul Hartenberg officiating.

Pallbearers were Wyatt Statler, Robert Saling, Charles McLean, Daniel E. Martin, Tom Warren and Darrell Womack.

The Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lawrence Walter Womack of Flat River died July 9, 1984 at his residence at the age of 60. He was born April 23, 1924 in Flat River to the late Edward and Minnie Morris Womack.

He is survived by his wife, Corda Belle (White) Womack of Flat River; two sons, Larry Womack of Overland and Nelson Womack of Carrollton, MO. Also four sisters: Maple Reed of Flat River, Macy Byers of Sweet Springs, Goldie Young of Flat River, and Jewell (Mrs. Leon Hutchings) of Farmington; two brothers: Vernon Womack of Elvins and Lester Womack of Leadington.

Mr. Womack was a veteran of WWII.

Services were conducted July 11 at 2 p.m. at Caldwell Chapel with the Rev. Elbert Mason officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn cemetery under the direction of Caldwell Funeral Home.

Unionville Republican & Putnam Co. Journal, Unionville, MO, Wed., Jan 20 1943.       Levi Preston Womack was born in Putnam Co., MO on Oct 29, 1855, the son of Jacob and Lurena Baugher Womack. He died on Jan 15, 1943 after a long illness at the age of past 87 years. Mr. Womack was married to Virginia Margaret Viles on Feb 27, 1886. eleven children were born to them, as follows: Mrs. Onie Carter and Mrs. Susan Thompson, both of Des Moines, IA; Mrs. Hazel Dees, Macon, MO; Mrs. Pansy Bruce, Unionville and Jennie Marie, who died at the age of 15 months. Others are: Mrs. Irene Dooley, Unionville; Timmie, who died at the age of 11 days and Lester, accidentally killed at the age of 18; Mrs. Violet Anderson, St. Louis, MO and Ora William, now in the armed forces of the US; another daughter, Lucy Virginia, died in infancy. A granddaughter, Mrs. Anna Louise Haas (?) also was reared by the faithful parents as one of their own. Mr. Womack was an inveterate Bible reader and student and followed the teachings of the Master, as he came to know and understand them. He was a member of the Unionville Christian Church for about 40 years. Besides his devoted wife and children, Mr. Womack left 5 half sisters and one half-brother, 24 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Rev. Chas W. Caldwell conducted the funeral at the Comstock Funeral Home on Sunday after, Jan 17, using as his text the 19th Psalm.

She graduated from William Woods College and the University of Missouri-Columbia. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the WMU, King's Daughters and the Hearthstone Group. She was a Sunday school and vacation bible school teacher and volunteered as a Pink Lady for more than 30 years at Boone Hospital Center. She was also the author of several books on the Alexander, WOMACK and Gilmore families, located in the Missouri Historical Society. Survivors also include two sons, Ben Alexander and Philip Alexander both of columbia; a sister, Ruth McCall of Readsville; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by a sister.

Former Alaska resident Louie F. Womack, 74, died Aug. 16, 2006, in Springfield, Mo. Mr. Womack was born March 28, 1932, in Hot Springs, Ark., to the late Alfred and Myrtle (Wheeler) Womack. Mr. Womack served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on March 4, 1955. He married Billie Welch on June 30, 1951, in Hot Springs.
Mr. Womack was a mechanical designer in the HVAC industry. His hobbies included golf, hunting and fishing in Alaska. He lived here from 1966 until 1989.
Family wrote: "Louie had an amazing love for his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him."
Survivors include his wife, Billie; sons, Steve and Robert Womack; daughter, Rachel Flatness and husband, Steve; granddaughters, Tamara and Alisha Flatness; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Stubblefield.
A graveside service was Sunday at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens in Springfield.

Mapel M. Reed, 86, of Park Hills, passed away Aug. 16, 2000 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington. She was born April 7, 1914, in Bunker, daughter of the late Edward and Minnie M. (Morris) Womack. Also preceded in death by husband, Poney Reed; son, Wesley Reed; granddaughter, Darlene Jones; great-granddaughter, Kristen; three brothers, Edward Womack, Lawrence Womack and Lester Womack; two sons-in-law.

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Margaret Francis Womack Patt, 78, of St. Charles, Mo., and formerly of Lutesville, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. 
She was born July 21, 1924, at Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Lewis Emmanuel and Edna Josephine Johnson Mansker. She and John Womack were married Feb. 20, 1963. He preceded her in death. She later married Bill Patt. He also preceded her in death. 
She worked as a nursing assistant for Clay West Nursing House. 
Survivors include three sons, Thomas W. Womack of Vadnais, Minn., James Womack and John Womack, both of St. Charles; one daughter, Susan Joy England of Leonardtown, Md.; three sisters, Lena VanGennip and Mary Parson, both of Marble Hill, and Louise Josey of Gordonville; and eight grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. 
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. 
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Burial will be in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.

JOPLIN, Mo.  Marjorie M. Findley, age 84, of Joplin, passed away at 1:23 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Marjorie was born June 2, 1922, in Joplin, and was a lifetime Joplin resident. She was a bookkeeper and had worked for BK&D Accounting Firm, Spencer, Scott & Dwyer Law Firm, Big Brothers and Crown Coach Bus Lines. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also active in the Ladies of Lions Club.

She married Charles C. Findley Dec. 2, 1945, in Joplin. He preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 2005.

Survivors include two sons, Bob Findley and wife, Pam, Joplin, and Dr. Kent Findley and wife, Lea Ann, Neosho, Mo.; two daughters, Marcia Ball and husband, Neal, Joplin, and Lynn Hurley Cardoza and husband, Bruce, Glendale, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Terry Doman and husband, Roger, Renae Findley, Jennifer Funke and husband, Matt and Colin Findley; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Doman and Jack Funke; and one brother, Richard Wommack, Fayetteville, Ark. She was also preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel.

She retired from Banquet Foods in 1982, after 19 years of service.

Nettie N. Womack Nettie N. Womack, 83, longtime resident of Kansas City, Mo., died peacefully in her home on December 31, to join her loving husband, Joel B. Womack. Together they owned the Berliner Bear Restaurant for over 40 years. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, especially apple strudel (Yum!). She will be greatly missed as a mother, grandmother, entrepreneur, and a friend. Nettie was known for her great sense of humor, strength, and her zest for life. She leaves memories to be cherished by her two sons, Joel C. Womack, Bill Womack; two daughters, Gloria Burggraf, Linda Sharp; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from the Starns mortuary for Miss Oma Womack, 21 years old, who died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital following a short illness. Interment will be in East Lawn cemetery. Post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death was conducted Tuesday night by Dr. Murray F. Stone. The decision will be given this afternoon before coroner Jewell Windle and assistant prosecuting attorney Gene V. Diemer. The decedent is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Womack, 1102 W. Neander A. Womack, 78, of rural Fulton, Missouri, died January 7, 1937 at his home.

Dr. R.G. Hall, of Fulton, pronounced death caused by Mitral Regurgitation contributed to by Cardiac Asthma. Informant was James Womack of rural Fulton.

Neander was born April 19, 1858, in Callaway County, the son of Allen and Sarah (Nowlin) Womack. Neander was single and was a farmer.

Arrangements were under the direction of Leo Wallace, of Fulton, and burial was in the Womack Cemetery.

Nelson E. Womack, 47,
of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Park Hills, passed away October 21, 2009. He as born September 19, 1962, at Bonne Terre.

Nelson worked for Cook's Foods for 22 years. He was a talented artist and photographer. He enjoyed Genealogy, and had tracked his family heritage back to the 1600's. Nelson was a very talented investor who started an investing club at Cook's. He was a 1980 graduate of Park Hills Central High School, Park Hills, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Womack.

Nowlin Womack, 86, of rural Fulton, Missouri, died January 27, 1936 at his home.

Dr. R.G. Hall, of Fulton, pronounced death caused by Influenza contributed to by Arteriosclerosis. Informant was James Womack of Fulton.

Noulin was born August 10, 1849, in Virginia, the son of Allen and Sarah (Nowlin) Womack. Nowlin was single and was a farmer.

Arrangements were under the direction of Leo Wallace of Fulton. Burial was in the Womack Cemetery.

Inez Nees, (say "niece") 75, of Higginsville, formerly of Kansas City, died March 3, 2011, at the Meyer Care Center. She was born Othie Inez Womack on Dec. 8, 1935, in Charleston, AR, to Clifford and Dena (Goff) Womack. She married Donald Otto Nees on Sept. 18, 1954, in Charleston. Inez was an appointment clerk at the Osteopathic Hospital from 1978-1988. She was a devoted mother, Girl Scout leader and genealogy enthusiast. She was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kansas City for over 50 years where she was involved with the Altar Guild, teaching Sunday School and the choir. She and Don moved to Higginsville in July of 2010. She is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Katherine; brothers, Marvin, Adrian and Bobby Womack; and a sister Dena Marie Bryant. She is survived by her husband, Don; son Greg (Judy) of Richmond, MO; daughters Elaine Goodner of KC, MO, Ellen (Stewart) Miller of Beaumont, TX; brothers Clifford Julian Womack of Tulsa, OK, Baxter Womack of Austin, TX; sister Ruby Kroh of Woodbridge, VA; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Services for Pearl Hazelbaker, 77, of Southwest City, who died at 9:50 am Wednesday at Grove General Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma, were held at 2:00 pm today at the Southwest City Seventh Day Adventist Church with the pastor, Ron Atkinson, officiating.  Burial was in the Southwest City Cemetery.  Mrs. Hazelbaker was born August 2, 1907 at Noel, and was a lifelong resident of the area.  She was a charter member of the Southwest City Seventh Day Adventist Church.  She married Ralph Hazelbaker on Feb 19, 1928.  He died December 9, 1975.  Survivors include a son, Chester Lynn, Mass.; a daughter, Carlene Bledsow, Gentry, Ark; three brothers, Elbert Womack, Eugene, Ore, Melvin Womack, Pontiac, Mich, and Roy Womack of the state of N.C.; two sisters, Elfleda Childers, Jay, Okla, and Geneva Crowder, Pineville; and four grandchildren.

The funeral for Raymond "Doc" Womack, Fulton, was held from Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Monday. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, south of Calwood.
Mr. Womack, 78, died April 6, at his home. He was born February 27, 1912, near Readsville, the son of Alexander and Cereptia (Morris) Womack. He was married November 14, 1938, to Elsie Grace Prouty in Hardy, Arkansas.
Mr. Womack was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. He had worked for the Auxvasse Stone and Gravel Company, retiring in 1971.
He was preceeded in death by a daughter, Anna Louise Summers and four grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Betty Jane Vaughn of Calwood, Dorothy Irene Wells of Independence, Ruby Christine Ellis of Fulton and Charlotte Evelyn Phillips of Jefferson City, four sons, Jesse Raymond Womack of Auxvasse, Clyde Dale Womack of Kansas City, David L. Womack of Steedman and Donald Wayne Womack of Montgomery City, thirty-five grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jake Womack of Nelson, Missouri and Emil Womack of Flippen, Arkansas.

*  ROBERT MARION WOMACK,   Jul. 15, 1828 – Jul. 25, 1919  

R.M. Womack,aged 87yrs. 20dys. died at the of his daughter, Mrs. N.C. Moore at Womack, Mo. 4pm on July 25th,1915.

Mr. Womack was born in Franklin Co.,Tenn. His father, Wm. Womack moved to Mo. from Ala. in 1844. The family settled in Perry County, Mo. which was Mr. Womacks home most of the time until March 1873, when he removed to St. Francois Co., He was first married to Belinda Hahn, Dec. 2, 1851; she died Oct. 13, 1852. He was again married on March 16, 1854 to Miss Louisa Hawthorn, who survives him. Two children died in childhood and Mrs. J. B. Murray, an only child of his first marriage, in January, 1913, and a son, Geo. W. Womack, Dec. 21, 1914. The surviving children are Wm. F. Womack, Mrs. N.C. Moore, Levi J., John A., Edward N., J. Albert and Leon W. Womack. Mr. Womack inlisted in Co. "E", First Reg. of Perry County Melitia, Oct. 4, 1862, and was enrolled in Co. "F", 15th Mo. Inf. Volunteers Sept. 23, 1864; commisioned 1st. Sgt. of this company Dec. 1, 1864. Discharged April 8, 1865. Mr. Womack served two terms as Justice of Peace in Perry Co. and one term in Ste. Genevieve Co. He was associate Judge of the Ste. Genevieve Co. Court 1890 to 1892. His remains were laid to rest in Methodist church yard at Womack, Mo. on Tuesday July 27th.

BONNE TERRE - Roger Dale Womack of Bonne Terre passed away at his residence December 4, 2006, at the age of 53 years. He was born December 15, 1952, in Bonne Terre to the late Francis and Flora Dora Womack (nee Reynolds). He is also preceded in death by his son, Derek Womack, son-in-law, Donnie Brenneke and one brother, Robert Hartzell.
Roger was president of the men's auxiliary Desloge V.F.W. Post #2426, a member of the Desloge Eagles and the Bonne Terre Eagles. He was an outstanding motorcycle mechanic, a little league coach for numerous sports, always helping someone in need, and was admired for the love of his children and always being a great dad. Roger is survived by his children, Francine Brenneke of Bonne Terre, Cheyenne Womack of Farmington, Summer Womack of Fredericktown, Donovan (wife, Mandy) Womack of North Dakota, and Dakota Womack of Bonne Terre, six grandchildren, Jaron, Ashley, Becca, Devin, D.J., and Riley, one brother, Charles (wife, Shirley) Barker of Leadwood. Nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Rosemary Womack, 77 of Park Hills, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007 at her residence. She was born May 6, 1930 at Desloge, St. Francois Co., MO. She was a member of the Harvest Christian Centre in Park Hills.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Joseph Hutchings Jr. and Bertha Woods Hutchings.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon Womack of Park Hills; two children: Rebecca Ann and husband Michael Davis of Battlefield, MO; and, Cynthia Lynn and husband Rodney Cumberland of Park Hills, MO. Roy Lee Womack, 62, of Jefferson City died Friday, September 24, 2004, at his home. He was born December 2, 1941, in Carroll County, Mo., a son of John H. and Martha A. Bates Womack.
He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. He had worked for Doolittle Manufacturing for 10 years, and was an automotive technician at Wal-Mart for over 13 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, and watching football, especially the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers.
He is survived by: two daughters, Lori Womack of Jefferson City, and Angelyn Wilcox and husband Seth of Mattoon, Ill.; one son, Derrick Martin Womack and wife Tina of Jacksonville, Fla.; a half brother, Jessie Womack of Sugar Creek, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors-Jefferson City Chapel.

He attended the Full Gospel Church in Southwest City.  He married Josie Clark on June 9, 1929 in Southwest City.  She died January 19, 1986. Survivors include three sons, Robert D. Womack, Wichita, and Duwayne and Ron Womack both of Southwest City; three daughters, Sharon Howery, Wichita, Connie Roberts, Harrison, Ark; and Ruth Shields, Southwest City; a brother, Gene Womack, Wichita; three sisters, Florence Hume, Phoenix, Ariz, Viola Manuel, and Irene Swift both of Wichita; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Full Gospel Church with the Rev. William “Bill” Womack, 58, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in Carrollton, MO.

Bill was born September 23, 1952 to Orville and Esther Womack and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Truman High School and married Jerilyn Bogue.
After owning Four Seasons Bait Shop in Independence for many years, Bill was a dedicated employee to Burd and Fletcher for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and tending to his yard, but more than anything, Bill adored his family. He will be missed for his loving and dependable nature by all who knew and loved him.

Bill is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jerilyn Womack; daughter Jennifer Walsh and husband Jason; son Jason Womack; four grandchildren: Dillon Wallace, Zackary Walsh, Peyton Valentine and Tori Valentine; mother Esther Sanders; mother-in-law Virginia Bogue; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

William Davis Wommack, 93 years old, pioneer, McDonald County resident, died at 8:15 o'clock Saturday night in Jay Memorial Hospital, at Jay, Okla where he had been a patient for the past five days.  He was born November 8, 1873 at Saratoga, Missouri, a town which no longer exists, and had lived in McDonald County all of his life.  Saratoga was founded at a sight four miles northeast of here and nearly half way to Noel on the old highway.  Womack was a retired farmer and member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.  He was married to Grace Parker in 1898 in Pineville, MO.  She preceeded him in death in June, 1965.  Survivors include four sons, Elmer Womack and Roy Womack both of Tulsa, Okla; Elbert Womack of Campbell, Calif; Melvin Womack of Pontiac, Michigan; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Hazelbaker or Southwest City, Mrs. Elfleda Childers of Tulsa, and Mrs. Geneva Crowder of Pineville; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Moore and Mrs. Etta Alexander both of Southwest City; one brother, Arthur Womack of Wichita Kansas, 36 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Seventh Day Adventist Church here with the Elder Lee Hadley officiating.  Burial will be in Southwest City Cemetery under the direction of Lawson funeral home.

William E. ( Willie) Womack, age 77, of Carrollton, MO passed away June 9, 2011 at Life Care of Carrollton. Willie was born October 17, 1933 to Orville and Melissa (Cowick) Womack in Wakenda, MO. On June 6, 1957, Willie married Thelma Fay Arnold. To this union, three children were born, Dixie Talbott, Darrell Womack and Susan Weisz.

Willie graduated from Wakenda School and served in the US Army from 1954-1956. After the Army, Willie did construction and was a truck driver for Green Quarries for 20 years. Willie was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Wakanda Masonic Lodge # 52 AF & AM.

Willie is survived by Thelma of the home; three children, Dixie Talbott and husband, Geoffrey, of Flower Mound, TX, Darrell Womack and wife, Shellie, of Carrollton, MO, Susan Weisz and husband, Keith, of Carrollton, MO; eight grandchildren, Ted and Jodi Talbott, Ashley, Tera and Mary Womack, Sarah, Andrew and Meagan Weisz. Willie is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Orville Womack, Jr., Donald Womack and Charlie Womack.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bittiker Funeral Home of Carrollton, MO. Masonic Services will start at 8:00 p.m.

He was born on July 1, 1941, in Mexico, to William Everett and Anna Mae Weaver WOMACK. His mother survives in Fulton. He was married on April 10, 1981, in Martinsburg, to Terry Rouse who survives at the home. Mr. Womack was employed at the time of his death with the City of Fulton, as a firefighter, was chairman of the Callaway Chapter of the Amrican Red Cross, was a past president of the Kingdom Pilots Association, was a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge #48, A. F. & A. M., the Calvary Commandery #28 K. T., and the Orion Chapaater #49 Royal Arch Masons. he was a founder of the Little Dixie Fire Protection District of Audrain County. Survivors include: a son, Darren Womack of Kansas City; a stepson, Mike Holloway of Fulton; one brother, Michael Womack of Winder Gap. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Debo Funeral Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. Mike Crowson officiating. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Cemetery in Mexico. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Callaway Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Wilma Kitchell, 77, of Park Hills, died, Aug. 16, 1994 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington.  She was born Jun. 3, 1917 in Mine LaMotte.  She was preceded in death by two brothers,  Roland Womack and Everett Womack;  her parents, Oscar Benton  and  Genevieve C. Brotherton Womack.
She is survived by four sons,  Don Womack of Peverly,  Al Kitchell of  DeSoto, Lindell Kitchell of Desloge,  Curtis W. Kitchell of Desloge;  13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday,  Aug. 18, 1994 at 1 p.m. in the C. Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge,  with Rev. Jerry Chaney officiating.  Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington.

Southwest City, Mo., Aug 10, Elijah T. Wommack, 83 years old, a veteran of the civil war, died Thursday afternoon at his home here. He was born July 6, 1846, in Polk Co., Tennessee. He enlisted in the Fifth Tennessee Mountain Infantry and was honorable discharged June 27, 1865. He came to this district from Tennessee in 1881 and had lived in Southwest City since March 15, 1920. He was a member of the Baptist church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sarah L. Wommack; six daughters, Mrs. Clevia Greek of Webb City, Mrs. Emma Adams of Island Mountain, Calif.,Mrs. Mary Blevins of Southwest City, Mrs. Zona Reed of Seminole, Okla., Mrs. Flora Reed of Miami, Okla. and Mrs. Clinton Sims of Row, Okla.; two sons, Levi Wommack of Wichita, Kan. and George W. Wommack of Southwest City, forty-six grandchildren and thirty-seven great- grandchildren.

Frances Kay Wommack, 46, of St. Peters, and formerly of Elsberry, died Monday (Sept. 14, 1998) at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital.
Mrs. Wommack was a registered nurse at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy. During her nursing career, she was the director of nursing at the Elsberry Health Care Center and later taught nursing in the LPN program at the Pike-Lincoln Tech School in Eolia, Mo. She belonged to the Church on the Rock in St. Peters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Elsberry City Cemetery.

SOUTHWEST CITY MAN, 75, DIES AT HIS HOME Southwest City, Dec. 10 - George W. Wommack, 75 years old, a resident of Southwest City 30 years, died at 4 o'clock Sunday morning at his home here after an illness of a week. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Wommack; three daughters, Mrs. Clarice Robinson of Mayesville, Ark., and Miss Mildred Wommack and Mrs. Lyda Bates of Wichita, Kan., and four sisters, Mrs. I. M. Rhodel of Oklahoma City, Mrs. E. A. Sims of Santa Anna, Calif., Mrs. Clevia Greek of Selma, Calif. and Mrs. Lee Adams of Turlock, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church. The Rev. Eugene Thomas of Southwest City and the Rev. Max Pendley of Afton, Okla. will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery under the direction of the Humphrey and Son funeral home.

HART B WOMMACK, M. D.of Millwood was the son of Richard and Elizabeth Hammonds Wommack...Richard Wommack was born in Halifax Co, VA, in 1804. When two years old his father moved to Tennessee. At the age of seven years his father died. His mother and all the family except his brother William, came with his brother-in-law, Brice Wommack to this county and settled on a farm near Elsberry. In 1825 he married Miss Cinthia Smiley, daughter of Major Smiley, who lived Auburn. The first Mrs Wommack died in 1830, leaving three girl children. His second wife died in 1873. To these two unions were born a family of 10 children-8 girls and two boys, all dead but three, Mrs Milton Motley, living near New Hartford, Mrs Geo A Palmer of Montgomery City, and one brother, B H Wommack of near Briscoe. The father had always been prominent in political affairs, was a liberal and public spirited citizen, was a Jeffersonian Democrat to the core. "Dick Wommack was the daddy of the Democratic party of Lincoln Co. He served as assessor two terms, sheriff 4 terms, and was elected representative in 1848, and served four terms. Hart B Wommack was the oldest son, was born January 7th, 1844, and died at his son-in-laws, Henry Genteman's, January 11, 1917, having reached the age of 73 years and 4 days. Received his education at Jones College at Troy, MO Chose medicine as his profession; entered Missouri Medical College at St Louis, graduatd in 1865, and located in Millwood. Married Miss Tillie Whitmore of St Charles Co. In 1870 married Miss Elza Dyer. Union resulted in 7 children, 3 sons and 4 daughters, all living except the oldest son, Richard Ernest--all married and living in Missouri--Dr Wallace Wommack, Mrs Ida Cruse, St Louis;Harry B Wommack and Mrs Theon of Oran; Mrs Frank Pshand of Martinsburg, and Mrs H M Gentemann of Millwood. In Jan, 1916 his wife died, the companion of his busom, the one who helped him fight life's battle for 48 years. May he rest in peace.

: Warren W. Wommack, 78, of Troy, died Monday (Sept. 14, 1998) at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy.  Mr. Wommack had served as a Lincoln County commissioner for 28 years. He also farmed and was a heating and air conditioning contractor for years . Mr. Wommack belonged to the Old Alexandria United Methodist Church, served on the Old Alexandria Cemetery Board, was a member of Silex Masonic Lodge 75 A.F.&A.M. and on the Advisory Board of Four County Mental Health.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, and from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Old Alexandria United Methodist Church, Old Alexandria, Mo. A funeral service will be held at noon at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Among survivors are his wife, Jeanne Wommack of Troy; a son, Dr. Bill Wommack of Rensselaer, Mo.; two daughters, Karen Woodall of Troy and Bobbie Trenkamp of New London, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Joseph Bill Wommack, age 60, Joplin, passed away at 11:28 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Freeman West Hospital. Bill was born January 25, 1948 in Joplin to Mildred Davis Wommack and the late Joseph E. Wommack, Jr. He was a 1971 graduate of the University of Kansas and worked for the City of Wichita for over 13 years as an economic planner. He was a faithful member of Ducks Unlimited and was an avid Jayhawk and New York Yankee fan. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Wommack, Joplin; a daughter, Jennifer Wommack, Wichita, her mother, Ann Wommack; brother, David Wommack and his wife, Jeanne Rae, Paducah, Kentucky; two nephews, Jason Wommack and his wife, Shannon, Brant Wommack; a niece, Becky Hudson and her husband, Bill; two grand nieces, Emily and Meg; and a host of other extended family members and friends. Bill has been taken for cremation. Memorial services are planned for Saturday, May 10, 2008 at First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Robert Morgan will officiate. BEN F. ALEXANDER 

Ben F. Alexander of Columbia died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center. He was 91. Mr. Alexander was born July 19, 1910, in Columbia to Edward Everett and Mary Isabella Riley Alexander. Mr. Alexander graduated from University High School and later attended MU. He was a member of the Alpha Gamma Sigma fraternity and later served as a counselor to the fraternity. "He loved MU sports from a young age," said Mr. Alexander's son Philip Alexander of Columbia. "He received a letter from the Athletic Department because he held football season tickets for 72 years." Mr. Alexander married Lillian Womack on July 17, 1934, in Jefferson City. She died earlier. Mr. Alexander was a member of the First Baptist Church from 1927 to 2001. He served as a life deacon in the church and was chairman of the board of deacons. In 1956, Mr. Alexander helped spread the mortar for the cornerstone of the First Baptist Church building and served as chairman of the committee to raise funds for its construction. "He was very involved in the church," his son Phillip said. "He loved to go out and visit families and invite them to visit the church." From 1932 to 1974, Mr. Alexander and his brother Jesse owned and operated Alexander Bros. Truck Farms. The operation produced and marketed fruits and vegetables to central Missouri. In 1958, Mr. Alexander opened the first of two laundromats that he and his son Ben operated until September 2000. They had a great working relationship, Ben Alexander said. "He was a person of high character," he said. "He was very devoted to his wife and family." Visitation for Mr. Alexander will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Parker Funeral Service, 22 N. Tenth St. Services, con-ducted by the Rev. Bob Russell, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Columbia, 1112 E. Broadway. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Mr. Alexander is survived by two sons, Ben W. Alexander and Philip E. Alexander of Columbia; a sister, Christine Zahm of Arizona City, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Graveline was born in Tulsa, Okla., and lived in this area for five years before she moved to Phoenix in the early 1980s. She was a member of Paradise Hills Christian Church and had attended the Calvary Temple, Kansas City. Her husband, Edgar Graveline, died in 1965. Survivors include four daughters, Lauren Womack, Pamela Brown and Betsy DeKnegt of Phoenix, and Sharron Beck, Shawnee; a brother, Raymond Jennings, Claremore, Okla.; four sisters, Lorraine Mayfield, Hilma Sadler and Ginger Anderson of Phoenix, and Ruth Youngblood, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.


WOMMACK "SONN" GREEK, SR.

CARTERVILLE, Mo. - Wommack "Sonn" Greek Sr., 81, Carterville, died at 7:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, after a long illness.

Mr. Greek was born Aug. 16, 1917, at Neosho. He lived most of his life in the Carterville and Neosho area. He was a machinist for Gulf Chemical Corp., Carthage, retiring in 1979. He was a Christian and a member of Anti-Horse Thief Association.
He married Audraine Stiles on Oct. 3, 1938, at Neosho. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Mack Greek, Bill Greek, Garry Greek and Dick Greek, all of Carterville; a daughter, Sonda Barton, Carthage; a brother, Frank Greek, Carterville; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin. John Doolen, minister, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Greek, Andy Greek, Adam Greek, Aaron Greek, Garry Greek Jr. and Doug Greek.
Family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin.
Contributions may be made to Anti-Horse Thief Association in care of the funeral home.

Mr. McCurry owned the grocery store on North Third Street in Kansas City, Kan., from 1977 until July 1991. Earlier he was the head presser at the Rice-Mor Coat Factory from 1943 to 1965. He then was a carrrier for the Kansas City Star Co. from 1960 to 1977.
He was a member and former lay minister of the Walnut Boulevard Baptist Church. He was a lifelong Kansas City, Kan., resident. His wife, Jennie V. McCurry, died in 1979. Survivors include three stepsons, Thaddeus Taylor, Atlanta, Larry Taylor, Landover, Md., and Michael McCurry, Kansas City, Kan.; a foster daughter, Theresa Womack, Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, Thad McCurry, Kansas City, Kan.; five sisters, Jewell McLaurian and Bettie Lewallen of Wichita, and Derieth M. LaQuinda Richardson, 6-month-old daughter of Lloyd R. Richardson and Loretta Todd of central Kansas City, died Jan. 15, 1992, at Children's Mercy Hospital. She was born in Kansas City. Survivors also include two brothers, Dominique Todd and Lu'kee Todd, and two sisters, Jasmine Richardson and LaToya Richardson, all of the home; and her maternal grandmother, Frankie Womack, a paternal great-grandmother, Gertrude Dupree, and a maternal great-grandmother, Ruth White, all of Kansas City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lawrence A. Jones Linwood Chapel; burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel.

Bradley Davis Shough, 26, south Kansas City, died Aug. 11, 1992, at the home. Cremation. Mr. Shough was born in Eden, N.C., and moved to Kansas City in 1985. He co-owned At Your Service, a housecleaning company, for three years.
Survivors include his father, Jan Atkins, his mother, Sybil Shough, and two brothers, Chris Atkins and Kenny Atkins, all of Eden.
Survivors also include his companion, David F. Womack of the home.

Thomas Richard Simms Jr., 36, northeast Kansas City, died June 7, 1992, at the home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Earp Truman Road Chapel; burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to Hospice Care of the Visiting Nurse Association. Mr. Simms was born at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and lived in this area most of his life. He operated Northeast Antiques and Collectables for five years. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Simms, and two stepsons, Adam Carter and Brett Carter, all of the home; his father, Richard Simms, Kansas City; a brother, Donald Simms, Frankston, Texas; seven sisters, Roxie Womack, Carrollton, Mo., Lynn Taggart and Brenda Williams of Lexington, Mo., Linda Storey, Waverly, Mo., Teresa Lamley, Independence, Wanda Denney, Knoxville, Tenn., and Martha Kelly, Kansas City; his paternal grandfather, Thomas J. WILLIAM WYLIE STEEN

DAPHNE, Ala. - William Wylie Steen, 60, Mobile, Ala., formerly of Missouri, died Oct. 16, 1991, at a hospital in Daphne.
He was born in Boonville, Mo., and lived in Marshall, Mo., before he moved to Mobile in 1959. Mr. Steen worked for the Stauffer Chemical Co. for 10 years. Later he worked for the Westinghouse Electric Corp. for 22 years, retiring as a senior buyer last month.
He graduated from Missouri Valley College in Marshall in 1959 and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member, deacon and elder of the Central Presbyterian Church, Mobile. He was a Boy Scout leader. Survivors include his wife, Esther Laughlin Steen of the home; a son, David W. Steen, Mobile; two daughters, Carolyn Wikle, Semmes, Ala., and Wendy Wammack, Birmingham, Ala.; and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mobile. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church parlor. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the church's organ or library funds or to the American Cancer Society.


WANDA E. UPTON

Wanda E. Upton, 63, Olathe died July 24, 1994, at the home of her daughter in Kansas City, Kan. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church of Olathe; cremation. Mrs. Upton was born in Cache, Ill., and lived in this area most of her life. She worked for the AlliedSignal Aerospace Co.
She was a member of Local 6333 of the Communication Workers Union.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce Upton, Olathe, and Brian Upton, Kansas City; two daughters, Cindy Womack, Kansas City, Kan., and Karen Upton, Olathe; her mother, Eva Thompson, Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Harold Thompson, Kansas City, Kan., Donald Thompson, Del Rio, Texas, and James Thompson, Marshalltown, Iowa; two sisters, Loudenna White, Highland, Ind., and Margie Smally, Belton; and six grandchildren.

Joseph L. Walz, 78, Waverly, MO, passed away March 12, 1997, at the home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Mount Moriah and Freeman Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Mr. Walz was born March 28, 1918, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was an avid trap shooter, hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Walz. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Louise Walz, of the home; children, Margaret Womack, of Kansas City, MO, Michael Walz, of Ft. Worth, TX, and Penny Barnes, of Mission, KS; and a granddaughter, Kellie Battaglia, of Denver, CO.

Mrs. Williams was a Kansas City area resident for 30 years, and was a member of the Eastern Star in Kansas City, KS. She began her career with the Govern - ment in 1961, as switchboard operator, and retired in 1989. She was preceded in death by her father, Glen C. Roberts, in 1968. Betty Lou is survived by her mother, Lola Roberts, Riverside, MO; three daughters, Jacklen LaRaine Mattivi, Kansas City, MO, Sherree Gae Womack, Riverside, MO, and Michelle Renee Pope, Kearney, MO; two sisters, Maxine McKeon, Riverside, MO, and Arlene Bandy, Oxnard, CA; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
