ALEXANDER WOMACK DlED WEDNESDAY:
Funeral Services to be Held Friday Afternoon at Ebenezer
Alexander Womack, 72 years old, a native of Missouri and for many years a resident of Callaway county; died at 10:15 o'clock Wednesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Dudley a half mile north of Calwood. He had been ill only a few days and death came unexpectedly.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:00 c'clock at Ebenezer Baptist Church, northeast of Fulton, by the pastor, the Rev. K. E. Magruder, and burial will be in Ebenezer cemetery.
Mr. Womack was born May 16, 1867. He farmed most of his life and for many years was a resident Of Callaway. A number of years ago he went to Arkansas to live and had been back in Callaway only a few months before his death.
Mrs. Womack died 10 years ago this month. Surviving are four daughters and five sons: Mrs. Lottie Bond of Oregon; Mrs. George Dudley, Calwood; Mrs. Barbara Gilman, Bachelor; Mrs. Ruby Shelton, Bachelor; Laymond Womack: Mexico; Emil Womack: Calwood; Raymond Womack and Jakie Womack, 'Raven Den, Ark., and Dan Womack, Big Flat, Ark.
He also leaves five sisters and one brother: Mrs. Bell Driscoll, Bachelor; Mrs. Dora Myers, Calwood; Mrs. Annie Novy, Concord; Mrs. Ollie Ferris,: Calwood; Fannie Womack, Calwood and Antoine Womack, Perry, Mo. He also leaves a half-brother, John Levi Womack of the state of Oregon.

ALICE R. WOMACK (nee Brown)
Services were today for Alice R. Womack, 87, formerly of the Lake of the Ozarks, who died Jan. 27, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, St. Louis.
She was born Dec. 20, 1914, in Kansas City, a daughter of Bert F. and Rose Brown. She was married March 9, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, to William T. Womack, who died March 12, 1998.
She graduated from Central High School and earned her undergraduate degree and a master's degree in education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. A homemaker, she lived in Independence and taught at Northeast Junior High School, Kansas City, until her retirement in 1976.
A Methodist, she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W., the Daughters of the American Revolution and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: one daughter, Camilla Dollins, Unionville; one son, Kent Womack, St. Louis; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were at Drennon Chapel, Climax Springs. Burial was in Climax Springs Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

Arthur D. Womack of 1936 A North East of Miami died at 11:55 am Sunday, June 28, 1998 at the Baptist Regional Health Center after an illness. He was 94. Mr. Womack was born January 12, 1904 at Southwest City, MO to Edward and Eva Womack. He had lived in Miami since 1949, moving from Southwest City. He was a home builder working for Harralson Construction Company in Miami. He retired in 1966. He was a member and former deacon of the Northwest Baptist Church in Miami. Mr. Womack was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Womack, on Dec 13, 1994, and by a daughter, Betty Jo Womack, on May 23, 1995. He is survived by two daughters, Neldina Harris, Miami, and Mildred Harrell, Tulsa, an adoptive daughter Bette Oyler, Grove, two sisters, Ruth Parrish, Hagerman, Idaho, and Ruby Jean Benning, Vanita; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The services will be at 10:00 am Thursday at the Northwest Baptist Church of Miami. The Rev. Clyde Stilley will officiate. Burial will be in the GAR Cemetery in Miami. Pallbearers will be Mark Billings, Jim Willson, John Miller, Harry Coble, Leslie Allen and Dean Bradley. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.

Ermel C. Womack, 74, son of Evy and Lottie Hopkins Womack, was born Jan. 29, 1926, at West Plains. He died Oct. 9, 2000.
He married Joan Powell Sept. 29, 1944, and was baptized Sept. 17, 1950.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Waymon, Hervel and Haskell.
Mr. Womack loved singing, salesmanship and doing special things for his friends.

Jan. 2, 1907 - Aug. 29, 1999 Herbert Efton Womack, 92, a retired civil engineer, died at a Ft. Worth hospital Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999 Mr. Womack, the eldest son of Bert and Maggie Womack, was born Jan. 2, 1907, near Southwest City. He attended school through his junior year at Liberty, a rural McDonald County school, graduating from Southwest City School. He attended college at the University of Missouri at Columbia where he received his degree in civil engineering. He was employed by the Rock Island Railroad and moved to Ft. Worth, Texas, in 1939, where he was district manager until his retirement. He oversaw and planned much of the industrial district of Dallas, was involved in the design of the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport as well as many railroads and bridges through Texas. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Ft. Worth where he served on the church board. He was also a member of the Cooks Peavy Lodge, Grand Lodge of Texas, Knights Templer and Mosiah Temple and had received his 32nd degree in Scottish Rite. He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Bonnie Bruner Womack, whom he married in 1932. He is also survived by two sons, Bill and his wife Loraine, and Bob, all of Watauga, Texas; two daughters, Carolyn Lima and her husband John of San Diego, and Juanita Reasoner of Homita, Calif.; a brother, Levi Womack and his wife Betty of Southwest City, a sister Velma Lett and her husband Harry of Southwest City, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great granchild. Services were held Thursday, Sept, 2, 1999 at Greenwood Champel in Ft. Worth with burial at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas. Attending the funeral of Herbert Womack in Ft. FUNERAL OF JOSEPH WOMACK Last Rites over Body of Aged Pioneer of This District Funeral services over the remains of Joseph Womack, who died at the home of his son, Reno Womack, 221 South Hall Street Sunday at 3 o'clock were held yesterday at the residence. Burial was made at the Webb City cemetery. Mr Womack was 89 years old. He had been a resident of Jasper county for more than forty years. His death was due to an attack of heart trouble, which his advanced age made it impossible for him to withstand. Until a month ago he lived at Prosperity. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Mary Williams, Mrs. Lou Carricks, Gilbert Womack and Reno Womack. He has several grandchildren.

He died on Jan 15, 1943 after a long illness at the age of past 87 years. Mr. Womack was married to Virginia Margaret Viles on Feb 27, 1886. eleven children were born to them, as follows: Mrs. Onie Carter and Mrs. Susan Thompson, both of Des Moines, IA; Mrs. Hazel Dees, Macon, MO; Mrs. Pansy Bruce, Unionville and Jennie Marie, who died at the age of 15 months. Others are: Mrs. Irene Dooley, Unionville; Timmie, who died at the age of 11 days and Lester, accidentally killed at the age of 18; Mrs. Violet Anderson, St. Louis, MO and Ora William, now in the armed forces of the US; another daughter, Lucy Virginia, died in infancy. A granddaughter, Mrs. Anna Louise Haas (?) also was reared by the faithful parents as one of their own. Mr. Womack was an inveterate Bible reader and student and followed the teachings of the Master, as he came to know and understand them. He was a member of the Unionville Christian Church for about 40 years. Besides his devoted wife and children, Mr. Womack left 5 half sisters and one half-brother, 24 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Rev. Chas W. Caldwell conducted the funeral at the Comstock Funeral Home on Sunday after, Jan 17, using as his text the 19th Psalm.

Daughters and the Hearthstone Group. She was a Sunday school and vacation bible
school teacher and volunteered as a Pink Lady for more than 30 years at Boone
Hospital Center. She was also the author of several books on the Alexander, WOMACK
and Gilmore families, located in the Missouri Historical Society. Survivors also
include two sons, Ben Alexander and Philip Alexander both of columbia; a sister,
Ruth McCall of Readsville; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by a
sister.

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Margaret Francis Womack Patt, 78, of St. Charles, Mo., and formerly of Lutesville, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 21, 1924, at Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Lewis Emmanuel and Edna Josephine Johnson Mansker. She and John Womack were married Feb. 20, 1963. He preceded her in death. She later married Bill Patt. He also preceded her in death.
She worked as a nursing assistant for Clay West Nursing House.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas W. Womack of Vadnais, Minn., James Womack and John Womack, both of St. Charles; one daughter, Susan Joy England of Leonardtown, Md.; three sisters, Lena VanGennip and Mary Parson, both of Marble Hill, and Louise Josey of Gordonville; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Mr. Womack was employed at the time of his death with the City of Fulton, as a firefighter, was chairman of the Callaway Chapter of the Amrican Red Cross, was a past president of the Kingdom Pilots Association, was a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge #48, A. F. & A. M., the Calvary Commandery #28 K. T., and the Orion Chapaater #49 Royal Arch Masons. he was a founder of the Little Dixie Fire Protection District of Audrain County. Survivors include: a son, Darren Womack of Kansas City; a stepson, Mike Holloway of Fulton; one brother, Michael Womack of Winder Gap. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Debo Funeral Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. Mike Crowson officiating. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Cemetery in Mexico. Southwest City, Mo., Aug 10, Elijah T. Wommack, 83 years old, a veteran of the
civil war, died Thursday afternoon at his home here. He was born July 6, 1846,
in Polk Co., Tennessee. He enlisted in the Fifth Tennessee Mountain Infantry and
was honorable discharged June 27, 1865. He came to this district from Tennessee
in 1881 and had lived in Southwest City since March 15, 1920. He was a member of
the Baptist church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sarah L. Wommack; six
daughters, Mrs. Clevia Greek of Webb City, Mrs. Emma Adams of Island Mountain,
Calif.,Mrs. Mary Blevins of Southwest City, Mrs. Zona Reed of Seminole, Okla.,
Mrs. Flora Reed of Miami, Okla. and Mrs. Clinton Sims of Row, Okla.; two sons,
Levi Wommack of Wichita, Kan. and George W. Wommack of Southwest City, forty-six
grandchildren and thirty-seven great- grandchildren.

SOUTHWEST CITY MAN, 75, DIES AT HIS HOME Southwest City, Dec. 10 - George W.
Wommack, 75 years old, a resident of Southwest City 30 years, died at 4 o'clock
Sunday morning at his home here after an illness of a week. He was a retired
farmer. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Wommack; three daughters, Mrs.
Clarice Robinson of Mayesville, Ark., and Miss Mildred Wommack and Mrs. Lyda
Bates of Wichita, Kan., and four sisters, Mrs. I. M. Rhodel of Oklahoma City,
Mrs. E. A. Sims of Santa Anna, Calif., Mrs. Clevia Greek of Selma, Calif. and
Mrs. Lee Adams of Turlock, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30
o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church. The Rev. Eugene Thomas of
Southwest City and the Rev. Max Pendley of Afton, Okla. will officiate. Burial
will be in the city cemetery under the direction of the Humphrey and Son funeral
home.

HART B WOMMACK, M. D.of Millwood was the son of Richard and Elizabeth Hammonds
Wommack...Richard Wommack was born in Halifax Co, VA, in 1804. When two years
old his father moved to Tennessee. At the age of seven years his father died.
His mother and all the family except his brother William, came with his
brother-in-law, Brice Wommack to this county and settled on a farm near
Elsberry. In 1825 he married Miss Cinthia Smiley, daughter of Major Smiley, who
lived Auburn. The first Mrs Wommack died in 1830, leaving three girl children.
His second wife died in 1873. To these two unions were born a family of 10
children-8 girls and two boys, all dead but three, Mrs Milton Motley, living
near New Hartford, Mrs Geo A Palmer of Montgomery City, and one brother, B H
Wommack of near Briscoe. The father had always been prominent in political
affairs, was a liberal and public spirited citizen, was a Jeffersonian Democrat
to the core. "Dick Wommack was the daddy of the Democratic party of Lincoln
Co. He served as assessor two terms, sheriff 4 terms, and was elected
representative in 1848, and served four terms. Hart B Wommack was the oldest
son, was born January 7th, 1844, and died at his son-in-laws, Henry Genteman's,
January 11, 1917, having reached the age of 73 years and 4 days. Received his
education at Jones College at Troy, MO Chose medicine as his profession; entered
Missouri Medical College at St Louis, graduatd in 1865, and located in Millwood.
Married Miss Tillie Whitmore of St Charles Co. In 1870 married Miss Elza Dyer.
Union resulted in 7 children, 3 sons and 4 daughters, all living except the
oldest son, Richard Ernest--all married and living in Missouri--Dr Wallace
Wommack, Mrs Ida Cruse, St Louis;Harry B Wommack and Mrs Theon of Oran; Mrs
Frank Pshand of Martinsburg, and Mrs H M Gentemann of Millwood. In Jan, 1916 his
wife died, the companion of his busom, the one who helped him fight life's
battle for 48 years. May he rest in peace.

14, 1998) at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy. Mr. Wommack
had served as a Lincoln County commissioner for 28 years. He also farmed and was
a heating and air conditioning contractor for years . Mr. Wommack
belonged to the Old Alexandria United Methodist Church, served on the Old
Alexandria Cemetery Board, was a member of Silex Masonic Lodge 75 A.F.&A.M.
and on the Advisory Board of Four County Mental Health.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the McCoy & Blossom Funeral
Home, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, and from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Old
Alexandria United Methodist Church, Old Alexandria, Mo. A funeral service will
be held at noon at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ben F. Alexander of Columbia died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center. He was 91.
Mr. Alexander was born July 19, 1910, in Columbia to Edward Everett and Mary Isabella Riley Alexander. Mr. Alexander graduated from University High School and later attended MU. He was a member of the Alpha Gamma Sigma fraternity and later served as a counselor to the fraternity. "He loved MU sports from a young age," said Mr. Alexander's son Philip Alexander of Columbia. "He received a letter from the Athletic Department because he held football season tickets for 72 years." Mr. Alexander married Lillian Womack on July 17, 1934, in Jefferson City. She died earlier. Mr. Alexander was a member of the First Baptist Church from 1927 to 2001. He served as a life deacon in the church and was chairman of the board of deacons. In 1956, Mr. Alexander helped spread the mortar for the cornerstone of the First Baptist Church building and served as chairman of the committee to raise funds for its construction. "He was very involved in the church," his son Phillip said. "He loved to go out and visit families and invite them to visit the church." From 1932 to 1974, Mr. Alexander and his brother Jesse owned and operated Alexander Bros. Truck Farms. The operation produced and marketed fruits and vegetables to central Missouri. In 1958, Mr. Alexander opened the first of two laundromats that he and his son Ben operated until September 2000. They had a great working relationship, Ben Alexander said. "He was a person of high character," he said. "He was very devoted to his wife and family." Visitation for Mr. Alexander will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Parker Funeral Service, 22 N. Tenth St. Services, con-ducted by the Rev. Bob Russell, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Columbia, 1112 E. Broadway. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Mr. Alexander is survived by two sons, Ben W. Alexander and Philip E. CARTERVILLE, Mo. - Wommack "Sonn" Greek Sr., 81, Carterville, died at 7:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, after a long illness.
Mr. Greek was born Aug. 16, 1917, at Neosho. He lived most of his life in the Carterville and Neosho area. He was a machinist for Gulf Chemical Corp., Carthage, retiring in 1979. He was a Christian and a member of Anti-Horse Thief Association.
He married Audraine Stiles on Oct. 3, 1938, at Neosho. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Mack Greek, Bill Greek, Garry Greek and Dick Greek, all of Carterville; a daughter, Sonda Barton, Carthage; a brother, Frank Greek, Carterville; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin. John Doolen, minister, will officiate.

Children's Mercy Hospital. She was born in Kansas City. Survivors also include

Bradley Davis Shough, 26, south Kansas City,

DAPHNE, Ala. - William Wylie Steen, 60, Mobile, Ala., formerly of Missouri, died
Oct. 16, 1991, at a hospital in Daphne.
He was born in Boonville, Mo., and lived in Marshall, Mo., before he moved to
Mobile in 1959. Mr. Steen worked for the Stauffer Chemical Co. for 10 years.
Later he worked for the Westinghouse Electric Corp. for 22 years, retiring as a
senior buyer last month.
He graduated from Missouri Valley College in Marshall in 1959 and was an Air
Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member, deacon and elder of the
Central Presbyterian Church, Mobile. He was a Boy Scout leader. Survivors
include his wife, Esther Laughlin Steen of the home; a son, David W. Steen,
Mobile; two daughters, Carolyn Wikle, Semmes, Ala., and Wendy Wammack,
Birmingham, Ala.; and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mobile. Memorial services will
be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday
at the church parlor. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions
to the church's organ or library funds or to the American Cancer Society.

Wanda E. Upton, 63, Olathe died July 24, 1994,
at the home of her daughter in Kansas City, Kan. Memorial services will be at 7

born in Cache, Ill., and lived in this area most of her life. She worked for the
AlliedSignal Aerospace Co.

MO; three daughters, Jacklen LaRaine Mattivi, Kansas City, MO, Sherree Gae Womack,
Riverside, MO, and Michelle Renee Pope, Kearney, MO; two sisters, Maxine McKeon,
