Died: 06-30-2001 Lady Ruth Neil Womac, 74,
of Savannah, Ga., passed away Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Memorial Health. A
native of Niota, she had lived in Savannah, Ga., for the last eight years, and
was of the Baptist faith. She was a daughter of the late Will and Carrie Knox
Neil, and was preceded in death by her husband, Lonzel Womac; and five brothers,
Kenneth, Garrnett, Ray, Bobby and Ed Neil. Survivors include three daughters and
sons-in-law, Ann and James Webb of Niota, Dorcas and Hubert Cardin of Athens,
and Betty and Bill Hunt of Sweetwater; two sons, Allen and Steve Womac, both of
Savannah, Ga.; one sister, Juanita Watson of Chattanooga; one granddaughter,
Crissy Webb of Niota, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be
2 p.m. Tuesday in Niota Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Kelly officiating. The family
received friends from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the services at the
funeral home. Ziegler Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Womack, a native of Emanuel County, had retired as
owner and operator of Dellwood Well Drilling and as a farmer. He was a Navy
veteran of World War II. He was a member of Blundale Baptist Church, where he
was a deacon and Sunday school director and teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Peebles Womack; a
son, Aubry J. Womack, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two daughters,
Kay W. Davis and Judy W. Mincey, both of Statesboro; two brothers, Robbie Womack,
Millen, and Buck Womack, Twin City; two sisters, Bridie
Black and Blonnie Johnson, both of Statesboro; and a grandchild and a great-
grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Joe Peebles, Donnie Garrett, Craig Peebles, G.W. Johnson,
Ray Womack, Tim Peebles and Cale Womack.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Blundale Baptist Church.

BRUNSWICK -- Betty M. Summerour Womack, 67, died Sept. 29 at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Littleton, N.C., was reared in Moultrie and lived in Brunswick since 1966. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Moultrie. She was formerly employed with Belk's and as an insurance clerk with Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center.
SURVIVORS: her husband, Tom Womack of Brunswick; two daughters, Sylvia Benfield of Bainbridge and Cathy Gardner of Townsend; a son, Ted Summerour of Brunswick; two stepdaughters, Kelly Womack of Brunswick and Leslie Burnem of Nahunta; a brother, Kenneth Maples of Albany; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Black, a native of Canoochee, had retired as a postmaster. She was co-owner

Monday, May 3, 1999, in Aiken.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ivey Funeral Home, Andrews, with Rev.

Mrs. Womack, a native of Andrews, had retired as a
first grade teacher from Cherokee County schools. She was a graduate of Western
Carolina University and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Andrews
Chapter 15. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Joseph L. Womack, Aiken; a
sister, Hazel Olson, Lufkin, Texas; and four grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.

Burial will be in Zeta Cemetery.
Mr. Wommack, a native of Washington County, had retired
from the Tennille Post Office as a rural letter carrier after 42 years. He was a
member of the Georgia Rural Letter Carriers Association. He was a member, past
president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Tennille Rotary Club, and a member of
the Washington County Farm Bureau and the Georgia Cattleman's Association. He
was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign
Wars. He was a member and former Sunday school superintendent of Tennille United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Glenn Boland Wommack; a
son, Robert W. "Skip" Wommack Jr., Tennille; a daughter,
Marie Wommack Harvel, Locust Grove; a brother, William
J. Wommack, Byron; a sister, Mary A.
Wommack, Tennille; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wilburn Wommack, Gardner Brown,
